Vintage White Linen Tablecloth I found this tablecloth years ago at an estate sale in a well-to-do neighbourhood and it's been in my cupboard since (I tend to hord). I don't have any idea how old it might be, but it evokes a sense of the '30's/40's - afternoon tea in the garden. It's a very pretty white linen tablecloth with white on white embroidery and marigold yellow thread embroidery accent along with hemstitching and drawnwork. There are 2 holes that I have noticed – one small one by the edge and the larger one that I have photographed (see below). There are a couple of tiny dark brown marks (barely noticeable) by the edge where the smaller hole is which would fall over the edge of the table and would not be noticeable. Otherwise, it is clean and in good condition and still pretty to use as is or for the crafter (repurpose/recycle) to make pretty pillow covers or sachets for lavender/pot pourri. It measures 50"x51-1/2" $16.00 CDN. |
