Method of Payment

Prices are in Canadian dollars (here's a handy converter for you) and are subject to change without notice.  We also reserve the right to change store policies and terms without notice.  Paypal is the preferred method of payment.  It's fast, easy to use and offers secure online ordering.  All major credit cards are accepted through Paypal, and, you do not require a Paypal account in order to make a purchase; you can pay directly without registering.

Customer Satisfaction

Our goal is customer satisfaction, we want you to come back and shop with us again.  We know that it is difficult to tell exactly what an item is like when you cannot touch it before ordering.  And,  every computer monitor is different - colors will display differently.  We try hard to make all of our  photographs capture the color and details of everything we sell.  And, we describe all of our items through our photography and through words to the best of our ability.

All Shipping

Your order will be sent to the address listed on your Paypal account so ensure that your shipping address is correct! 

We ship three (3) times a week (except for Sundays and Canadian holidays).   The approximate shipping time is 12 business days.  **Please be aware that packages can be delayed by Customs (both the country of departure and the country of arrival).  Any applicable import fees, taxes or duties are the responsibility of the buyer.   We are not responsible for these charges and have no way of calculating what they would be.  For this type of information you will need to contact your local customs agency. 

All jewelry will be shipped via Canada Post Airmail and most vintage treasure items will be shipped via Canada Post Light Packet or Surface.  If you would like to upgrade your shipping, please let us know.  All photographic prints are shipped via Canada Post Expedited Parcel.  Every item will be carefully and securely packaged and you will receive an email notification when your item has been shipped.  We try to be eco-friendly, and as such we sometimes use recycled shipping materials - this also helps to reduce costs to you.  All jewelry items are gift boxed

International orders are welcome.  Please contact us to confirm that we ship to your country. 

Note:  We will not mark your purchase as a gift or record a lower value for your items/purchase.

Jewelry Return Policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, please contact us with all of your details, and return the merchandise in its original, undamaged condition and packaging within thirty (30) days of the postmark date for an exchange or refund, minus shipping charges.  Please ensure that you contact us prior to any return.  Customer is responsible for return shipping and please remember to wrap and package the item securely as it may not be possible to offer a refund or replacement on goods that are damaged on a return shipment.  We will process your return when we have received the item undamaged.  You can also exchange the item for an item of equal value from our shop.  Note:  For hygienic reasons, earrings cannot be returned or exchanged.

Jewelry items may be returned due to a genuine defect in workmanship within 90 (ninety) days for replacement or refund at our discretion.  However, we will not offer a replacement or refund for items exhibiting damage due to misuse, neglect, mishandling, or accidental damage.  We will repair for a small fee.   

Shipping Notes for Prints

  1. Smaller prints (e.g. 8.5" x 11") will be shipped flat in a stiffened and protected package.
  2. Larger prints will be shipped in a mailing tube with protective paper and foam chips to prevent crushing.
  3. De-curling of the print is best left to the framer but can be done by the purchaser.  Laying it flat with books for a day or two is one method.  It can also be reverse curled using the mailing tube if done very carefully and specifically to avoid scratching or scuffing the print.

Photograph Return Policy

We do not accept refunds or exchanges on photographic prints as each order requires custom printing. If your order should arrive damaged we will work with you to determine the source and replace your purchase if applicable.

Vintage Return Policy

Vintage items are sold as is.  Most vintage items tend to have a patina from age or some wear from handling or from storage.  I will point out any flaws with my descriptions and photographs.  However, it is possible to miss something. 

As we do not accept returns or refunds on vintage items, please be sure of your purchase ahead of time.   If you have any questions, please contact us before purchasing the item.  We pack all items carefully, but should an item arrive damaged, please contact us immediately and send a picture of the damaged item.   We will gladly help to resolve the problem. 

Coupons/special discount code

If you have a coupon or special discount code, please contact us directly detailing the items that you would like to order. We will then issue you an invoice through Paypal to pay that reflects the discount.  If you wish, you can make your purchase directly and include the code in the comment/note section at checkout and your discount will be refunded to you within 24 hours.  This applies to newsletter subscribers as well.   Note:  Coupons or special discount codes cannot be combined. 

Privacy

Information that you provide to us will not be shared with any other party, at any time, for any reason.  All information will be kept strictly confidential.  Email addresses will be used solely by The Wing Thing for newsletter notification of special offers or products updates.
